About Evan
Evan is an Asian-American documentary and commercial filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in San Francisco by immigrant parents, his perspective is shaped by a vibrant mix of cultures, influences, and lived experiences. This diverse foundation informs his work as an observant and emotionally honest visual storyteller, particularly in the worlds of sports, music, and culture.
After being denied transfer into his undergraduate film program, Evan chose to carve his own path — one rooted in curiosity, persistence, and devotion. Since then, he’s collaborated with brands including Nike, Air Jordan, Wrangler, Wilson Sporting Goods, J.Crew, Canyon Bicycles, and Hypebeast.
